Activating the SiftHub bot for Slack

Step 1:

Sign into your company’s SiftHub account here.

Step 2:

Once you’ve logged in, navigate to the ‘Connectors’ tab in the left side panel and select ‘Bots’. Find the ‘Slack’ bot in the ‘Bots’ tab and click ‘Activate’ after reading the description given there.

Step 3:

On the OAuth consent screen that opens, make sure the correct Slack Workspace is selected and click on the Allow button to approve the request for SiftHub to access your Slack workplace. It's important to review the permission that the consent screen shows before assenting to the permission request.

Step 4:

Once the setup is successful, you will be redirected to the SiftHub Web App and your bot connection status will show ‘Activated’.

Your SiftHub bot for Slack is now set up, make sure you test it!

Go to your Slack workspace to confirm that the SiftHub app now shows on the app section of your workspace. Tag @SiftHub in a channel or ask the bot a question via DM and confirm that you get a response.

Is SiftHub's Avoma integration secure?

SiftHub indexes only the meetings you explicitly connect. Here's how the rest of the security model works.

How to set up

Connection requirements

  • Avoma Administrator access: required to generate the API key
  • Avoma Organization plan or above: required to enable API integrations
  • SiftHub Admin or Account Owner role: required to activate the connector from the SiftHub Web App → Connectors → Apps

Step 1: Generate your Avoma API key

Log in to Avoma, go to Settings → Organization → Developer, and click Create API Key. Copy the key and share it securely with your SiftHub CSM.

Step 2: Share your scope and preferences with your SiftHub CSM

Tell your SiftHub CSM whether to connect all meetings, specific users', or individual recordings, and your preferred access setting (Open or Participant). They'll activate within 24 hours.

Do I need an Avoma Admin to connect SiftHub?
Yes. Avoma Administrator access is required to generate the API key. You'll also need an Avoma Organization plan or above.
What makes Avoma different from other call recording integrations?

Can I control which meetings get indexed?

How quickly is new content available in SiftHub?

What happens if a recording is deleted in Avoma?
Deleted content is automatically removed from SiftHub results in the next sync cycle.
Can I connect both Avoma and another call recording tool?
Yes. SiftHub supports multiple call-recording connectors simultaneously. Avoma can run alongside Gong, Zoom, Fireflies, or any other connected call platform.
Can I change the access setting after setup?
Yes. Contact your SiftHub CSM to update the access setting, Open or Participant, at any time.
Does SiftHub index Avoma's coaching insights?
Yes. SiftHub indexes structured call data from Avoma, including next steps, key topics, and coaching signals, not just the raw transcript. This gives your team a richer context when preparing for or following up on deals.
Can SiftHub use Avoma content alongside other connected tools?
