About the integration

Ever been stuck searching for that one answer you know exists somewhere?

You’ve scoured through threads, DMed your colleagues, and still—no luck. Sound familiar?

With SiftHub bot for Slack, those days are over. Simply @SiftHub in any Slack channel (public or private) and ask your question. Instantly, you'll get a response powered by the collective knowledge of all your connected sources on the SiftHub Platform.

No more digging, no more guessing—just answers, right when you need them.

SiftHub connects to Zoom through a Server-to-Server OAuth app you build in the Zoom App Marketplace. You generate the credentials and share them with your SiftHub CSM, who completes the backend configuration within 24 hours. You control which users' calls get indexed and who in SiftHub can access them.

Connection type SiftHub connects to Zoom via a Server-to-Server OAuth app created in the Zoom App Marketplace. You generate a Client ID, Account ID, and Client Secret, then share them with your SiftHub CSM, who completes activation on the backend.

Setup takes approximately 2 minutes on your end, with full activation within 24 hours.
What gets indexed SiftHub indexes AI generated transcripts from your Zoom cloud recordings.

You can connect all meetings in your account, or limit indexing to calls where specific users were hosts or invitees. A paid Zoom plan with cloud recording enabled is required.
How it works for RFPs and proposals SiftHub scans Zoom transcripts to capture what prospects said about their needs, constraints, and priorities across past calls.

This context is matched to pre approved answers in your content library and drafted into responses for open RFPs, security questionnaires, and SOWs. Responses are injected into Google Docs, Word, or Excel templates while preserving formatting.

Every response links back to the exact Zoom call it came from.
How it helps with prep, follow up, and handover SiftHub pulls from your Zoom transcripts, alongside your CRM, Slack, email, and other connected tools, so reps walk into every meeting with full deal context.

No manual prep required. After the call, SiftHub uses that same unified context to auto generate follow up collateral and handover docs that reflect the complete picture of the deal.
Content updates SiftHub indexes new Zoom recordings within one hour of the meeting ending.

Deleted recordings are automatically removed from SiftHub results.
Access controls SiftHub offers two access options. Open Access gives all users visibility into all connected call transcripts. Participant Access limits each user to only the calls they hosted or attended.

Admins configure this during setup.

Is SiftHub's Zoom integration secure?

SiftHub connects to Zoom with read-only access; it never modifies your Zoom data. Here's how the rest of the security model works.

  • Read-only by design: SiftHub only reads what it needs to index transcripts and user information. No write access is granted at any point.
  • You stay in control: SiftHub indexes only the users and calls you explicitly include during setup. Everything outside that scope stays untouched.
  • Flexible access controls: Admins can restrict transcript visibility to meeting participants only, so users never see calls they weren't part of.
  • Your data is encrypted: All Zoom data is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard protocols.
  • Enterprise-grade compliance: SiftHub is SOC 2 Type II-certified and meets enterprise security standards for all connector types.

Getting Zoom connected takes about 2 minutes on your end. You'll build a quick app in the Zoom Marketplace to generate credentials, then share them with your SiftHub CSM, who will handle the rest within 24 hours.

Connection requirements

Before you begin, make sure you have the following, or contact the relevant administrator:

  • Zoom Admin or Owner role: Required to generate credentials in the Zoom App Marketplace
  • A paid Zoom plan (Pro, Business, or Enterprise) with cloud recording enabled: free plans are not supported

Step 1: Generate your credentials in Zoom

In the Zoom App Marketplace, build a Server-to-Server OAuth app, copy your Account ID, Client ID, and Client Secret, and activate the app. Your SiftHub CSM will walk you through this if needed, or refer to the SiftHub Help Center for a detailed step-by-step guide.

Step 2: Share credentials with your SiftHub CSM

Send your SiftHub CSM the following:

  • Account ID
  • Client ID
  • Client Secret

They'll configure which calls get synced and who can access them, then confirm activation within 24 hours.

Activation and timing

Your setup time ~2 minutes
CSM activation Within 24 hours of receiving credentials
New recording availability Within 1 hour of the meeting ending

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a special Zoom plan to connect to SiftHub?
Yes. A paid Zoom plan (Pro, Business, or Enterprise) with cloud recording enabled is required. Free Zoom plans do not support cloud recordings and are not compatible with this integration.
How long does setup take?
Your steps take approximately 2 minutes. Once you share the credentials with your SiftHub CSM, activation is complete within 24 hours.
Can I control which Zoom calls get indexed?
Yes. During setup, you can connect all meetings across your Zoom account or limit indexing to calls where specific users were hosts or invitees. You configure this directly in the SiftHub Web App after entering your credentials.
Who can see Zoom transcripts in SiftHub?
That depends on the access setting configured during setup. Open Access makes all connected transcripts visible to all SiftHub users. Participant Access limits visibility to users who hosted or attended each call.
How is the Zoom integration different from the Gong integration?
Both index call transcripts and feed them into SiftHub's deal intelligence layer. The key difference is reach: Zoom captures a broader set of conversations because it's the default meeting tool for most teams and doesn't require a dedicated call recording platform. If your team uses both, you can connect them, and SiftHub will draw from all indexed transcripts.
Can SiftHub use Zoom content alongside other connected tools?
Yes. Zoom is one source in a broader intelligence layer. SiftHub combines it with your CRM, Slack, Gong, Google Drive, and other Connectors so that responses, prep briefs, and handover docs always reflect the full picture of a deal, not just what came up on one call.
How quickly are new Zoom recordings available in SiftHub?
New recordings are available in SiftHub within one hour of the meeting ending. Deleted recordings are automatically removed from SiftHub results.
What happens if a recording is deleted in Zoom?
Deleted recordings are automatically removed from SiftHub results in the next sync cycle. SiftHub always reflects the current state of your Zoom account.
Does SiftHub record Zoom calls or just index existing transcripts?
SiftHub never records calls. It only indexes transcripts generated by Zoom's own cloud recording feature. Your Zoom settings and recording policies remain fully in your control.
We already use Gong for some teams and Zoom for others. Can we connect both?
Yes. SiftHub supports multiple call recording Connectors simultaneously. Teams using Gong and teams using Zoom can both be connected. SiftHub aggregates all indexed transcripts, giving you a unified intelligence layer across your entire organisation.
